MEET MARIE
Marie Bell-Mack spent most of her childhood in Moneague Saint Ann,
where she attended Ferncourt High School. She then went to Moneague Teacher's College and taught at two schools: Watsonville Elementary School and Moneague All-Age School.In the late 1980s, she immigrated to America. There she received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Fordham University and a master's degree in public administration from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In 1995 she joined the City of Mt. Vernon Police Department, where she worked for years, eventually retiring as a detective.
She was the first Jamaican woman in the department.t: The Story of a Jamaican Immigrant is her first publication.
