Karin Westdyk is an author, environmental journalist, activist, and poet focused on
regenerative agriculture and sustainability. A former teacher who raised eight children,
she published and edited an environmental magazine with a circulation of 20,000 and
now writes for Belize AgReport. She serves on the board of Pro-Organic Belize, manages
a sustainable teaching homestead, and facilitates programs supporting education
access and solar energy for underserved families.
Book Summary
Written in rhyme and beautifully illustrated, in the seas is where we find Flidgywumper,
a little green fish who, shows young readers (and the adults in their lives) the scope of
the plastic pollution problem and offers ideas on how to solve it. The book was written
to entertain, while it educates, but most importantly to inspire all to care and act to
bring about positive change.
