This 'chilling' novel, although brutal and 'bloody' asks the question; is there justification for the perpetrator of such horrific crimes or is, in this case, the perpetrator a victim herself? Most serial-killers are cold-blooded psychopaths, however, there are always reasons why they enact inhumane violence upon other humans. Children who are abused can turn into revenge-seeking serial-killers, they are extremely damaged, show no emotions towards other human beings, and in their twisted minds demand retribution on those who abused them.
